Drone/UAV surveying offers some distinct advantages over traditional survey methods. The precision and in particular the scale at which the precision is collected make it the ideal solution for survey and contour or topographic map making. The level of detail, provides very high definition ground and road surface detail. The drone can be used to collect photogrammetric, and LiDAR data separately or simultaneously. The cost to collect the level of detail in traditional methods aren’t feasible.
